PRESS: CEO says ALROSA to pay windfall tax to budget early
MOSCOW, May 17 (PRIME) -- Russian diamond producer ALROSA will pay a windfall tax to the budget ahead of schedule and does not expect a significant impact of the payment on the company’s financials in 2023, CEO Sergei Ivanov said in an interview with Kommersant business daily on Wednesday.
“As to the windfall tax, it is several billion rubles for us. It will not influence the financial results considerably. We will pay it ahead of schedule as it will allow us save some money,” he said.
Ivanov also said that no increase of the mineral extraction tax is currently discussed.
He added that it is “unknown” if privatization of a part of ALROSA is on the agenda.
